It doesn't need a name to do it. If it works it works.

A napkin ring.

That's incredible. Once the tiny fibres fluff up a little, rust will be impossible to see.

Wow, that is so neat. I thought it was a piece of fabric, the lines are so perfect.

Yes. A pair of jeans used to last me at least 5 years. They seem to only lay c about 2 years now. And yes, its always the crotch that goes.

I love that edging. I keep coming back to view it. 😄

It has a hint of Victoriana about it.

That's impressive.

Amazing shoes! Did you purchase them or make them?

A new niche area for you. 😄 That colour match is amazing.

And yes, I prefer your picture too.

It does grab the imagination, doesn't it? It must have been a real labour of love. We have so much convenience today. Imagine how precious those gloves would be once they were made!

Goodness no. Think how many people could use a supply of spun wool.

Apparently, peasants used to collect bits of wool left behind on hedgerows, etc. By passing sheep. They'd spin it, over time and eventually knit clothing with it.

Don't underestimate your skills. Children will still be around. Subjects may be different, but children will still need to learn various life skills.

Knowing how to get children's attention & hold their interest can turn shelling peas, for example, into a learning experience for a group of kids

It's definitely a valuable apocalypse skill. If you can darn socks, you can work out how to darn anything. People need clothes and other fabric items. to hold together do their job.

They last far longer if small holes are repaired when they appear. And yes, socks matter for foot health.
