is this the heroes of might and magic thing you were playing around with a while ago? or are you just reusing the sprite?

someone in a server I was in said once: "it's hard to talk about crosscode because the best parts are all spoilers" and like, I understand the sentiment. The story is great, but imo the best part is all of it! The "final" boss of the dlc is the most fun boss fight I've ever played in any game, ever.

it's ok ryan, if it makes you feel better I'll mentally insert "pole" after your name every time I read it

I really appreciate your AI takes. I'm absolutely not a fan of the way it's taken over so many people's minds, but there are still a lot of really bad arguments for why exactly it's bad. You have both the tech perspective and the art perspective, and you really dig down to the core of the issue

it's also tough to market something like that, since discovering what the narrative even is in Blue Prince is a big part of the gameplay. though I guess Myst already did that to some extent, so it's not impossible

I have those orc miniatures!
I like the terrain, did you make that yourself?

Later Alligator, fun minigame-based point-n-click with great animations
Hypnospace Outlaw maybe, it's not time-sensitive but it might only be best if you are able to devote longer play sessions than 10 minutes
Assault Android Cactus, pauses, fun arcadey action

Aubergine has been my steam profile picture for years, and I still remember you describing her dynamic with Cactus as Aubergine trying to prove to the gang that she'd be a better leader than Cactus, but "Cactus doesn't realize it's a competition"

"Many ages ago, a great evil rose to threaten the fledgling kingdoms of men" is a line delivery that will echo in my head forever

reminds me of the incredible Wikipedia photo description they gave Ryan, where it makes sure that the reader knows the difference between Ryan and his dog

I love the artstyle to this game. The thick outlines and simple shading make everything seem so playful

I'm picking this up the instant it releases. CrossCode is one of my favorite games of all time and I'm already sold on the promise of "we made another one"

Perhaps you taught me too well for your own good!

let's do twelve. I feel like I know the answer but I want to see if I'm right

Oh hey, that's my review! Congratulations on the launch, I'm having a great time with the game!

Snakebird (and Snakebird Primer, the easier version) is the closest one from my collection, it has a similar "here is a puzzle, solve it to unlock the next ones" kind structure to baba

"Jorothy" has got to be the funniest thing to call Joro

I'm sure that the market for this would be vanishingly small, but I would pay good money for a DLC that just adds Bluey the dragon as an alternate skin for Cactus.

and maybe Corlis+Moppy for Aubergine+Helo

I liked all of the later levels as they got more involved, but probably my favorite was the one where you smash your way down a tall level. That was the first one to give me an "oh, that's really cool" moment. I'm excited for the full release!

FYI, it looks like the steam discussion feedback thread is locked. I'll use the discord for now but I imagine that wasn't intentional.
