It turns out sometimes a forced alignment change is all it takes for a cinnamon roll wizard to decide to become an evil god. And in a panic, Noct prayed to any God that would help him return them to normal, contacting Hystia, the goddess of murder and lies. She proposed a deal. #dnd #oc #sketch

Through a series of magical mishap rolls so bad that they were comical in hindsight, Noct's casual day of visiting a friend was violently thrown off the rails by a yuan-ti anathema and THREE failed teleports by his wizard friend to give him a scary decision to make #dnd #oc #sketch

He's the first character I started really learning how to design outfits with and I started loving the process of doing the iterations of his armor throughout his life. Drawing armor is tough but a lot of fun (and big sexy 😋) #dnd #oc #sketch
Noct's original armor, a black carapace set crafted in underdark fashion. It's light half-plate, enabling him to be a decent scout and competent fighter The middle child armor, of which I never finished fully fleshing out. It's golden gnoll plate with a mismatched silver tiger gauntlet and red tabbards. Noct is being dragged by a large, flawed figure as he stares mortified at the scene The cursed armor set from the worst month or so of his life, binding him in willing servitude and the armor itself. It's a black set with inlaid geometric patterns that glow red, matching the red tabbard and eerie black and red sword. His hand is held open, preparing a smite with a sigil of an eye (slowly picking away at this one in a digital format as well) An iteration of armor from an axed curse of strahd campaign. Noct (under the alias of Gladiolus) wears a breastplate inscribed with the heraldric symbol of Lord Brightstar, owner of an esteemed citadel of soldiers and secretly the leader of an unaffiliated peacekeeping organization known as the Blades (which Noct actually works for). Surrounding him are sketches of items he had or acquired in Barovia

For a campaign in 2020, as someone with no experience with crit role and a fascination with the history of alt-right fascism, I immediately saw the similarities between the Dwendalian empire and 1930s Germany. Little did I know how much of a rollercoaster it was going to be #oc #dnd #sketch
