I very much agree with @zoejardiniere.bsky.social here.
I can pretty much guarantee every time I call out Labour's hostile anti-asylum/anti-immigration policies, I'll get Labour diehards playing "whataboutery", or outright defending them. There's no defence for any of this.

Completely beyond why people try to defend Labour record on treatment of asylum seekers. They are awful.
They have done terrible things the Tories never even thought of, like denying any refugee who came here through irregular means from EVER becoming a citizen & ENDING FAMILY REUNIFICATION. demons.

Note that still in post at the BBC is Robbie Gibb, who helped set up GB News, and John McAndrew, formerly director of news and programmes at GB News.

My hope kind of died when it wasn't one of the first things they did. Just such an obvious win for them to clear out the Tory plants get the national broadcaster functioning properly.

The BBC caving to an obvious right wing hit job is bad. But Davie was part of the problem so use getting rid of him as an opportunity to do the job properly.

November 2030: Tesla is fifteen circular funding deals in a trenchcoat.
It is cash-poor and on the verge of insolvency, but also, somehow, an $8.5 trillion company.
