Just listened to this album.
Lido Pimienta - La Belleza it sounds experimental and might be be for everyone but it is harmonious, mystical, musical, spiritual almost like an opera. A good companion piece with Rosalia’s recent album LUX. One of the best albums I have heard this year.

43rd & 44th books read this year

Just read this very experimental play EVERYBODY and NORMA JEAN BAKER OF TROY. Back to back short plays that say so much. Though they might seems simple at first they become epic by the end. Philosophical and existential. Defitnely inspiring

37th book read In 2025

A wild ride, reminded me of my obsession with tabloids growing ng up Into my 30’s. When the internet truly took over. Better written then expected. Truly a time capsule and a portrait of a stsr and an aspiring artist… ultimately

Wow, this movie surprised the heck out of me and got me very emotional. A true earnest and charming movie. Highly recommended 8/10

This Is a 6 episode series that was originally produced by AMC. That they choose to not put out and now TUBI has put it out and only 6 episodes. It’s worth the watch especially all at once for the strongest punch and reaction. The first episode is the strongest and it get stranger and stronger.

Not a film I would gravitate to usually, but really needed up enjoying it. Kelly Fremon Craig makes another quality coming of age tale. (THE EDGE OF SEVENTEEN) I can’t wait to see what she makes next & hope she can keep her projects flowing

11th book read in 2025. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Beautful prose that mesmerizes you. As it is more a memoir that uses basketball as a metaphor and comparison

Hanif never disappoints. Best book I have read this year, so far #Highlyrecommended

Isabella Lovestory, she has a great voice. Would have loved this album if the songs sonically didn’t sound similar to one another. #Amorhardcore

Listening to my first Toro Y Moi album. This is like a mood stabilizer. A soundscape of vibes. A 80’s/90’s hybrid perfect for the 2000’s. As something vintage but also of the moment. Groove along to it

First time watch #Stormyweather An African American musical #classic
A bunch of musical set-pieces that is almost like a talent show tied together by a thin romantic story.

An all star cast and a movie not talked about enough #Mustsee #Highlyrecommended

Sometimes the right album and artist comes along at the right time and BYEMILO’s album SUMMER THUNDER from 2018 came along at the right time. Even if it’s 2 seasons ahead of its title.

Another wonderful Giallo from the 1970’s that I had never heard of brought to us from TUBI. Because of this channel I am really becoming a fan of these films. Mystery, thrillers usually originating from Europe. Italy & Spain in particular

New album for when I am in my feelings, actually it’s a soundtrack

A thriller with a twist that never quite feels exciting. It comes across as a basic time waster that feels by the numbers as it is predictable it keeps you entertained enough and interested in the action, even though it is pretty much a two hander for the most part
