With the huge caveat that i haven't seen it since i was a child: It's...fine-ish? The weirdest thing is how after the SDF part they continue the story with two originally unrelated series. My current thoughts about it are: i'm glad it existed, but there's no reason to go back to it

That's true! Raistlin probably gets a bigger mind share since I read those books much earlier. Even if I'm more likely to reread Elric's books these days

I just listened to a podcast episode about it and it turns out protein has had several waves of being the Big Thing for like 200 years now, possibly because it's never really had a villain moment (like carbs have). A lot of times it was industries trying to make money with actual waste products
