You know what's most frustrating about this "sudden" realization? Activists, leaders, and strategists who are Black, Indigenous, Latinx; LGBTQ+ community members; other impacted communities, have been naming how the Dem strategy, including this kind of procedural vote, hasn't worked for years.

And yet the two Dems on this committee still voted to introduce this bill.
Yes, it was a print hearing. But the RS would have been introduced regardless of their votes. Their no vote would have shown solidarity with Idaho's LGBTQ+ community, many of whom voted for them.
