I see a lot of people sharing fake tweets of Musk's, and when I point out it's doctored, they say it doesn't matter because he would say that stuff. It does matter, because it's not real, and we need to not be seen as the liars using the same falsehoods as the other team.

You are correct in that every word in it is correct and should be given action. But I do argue that sharing false attribution is misinformation, and that does matter. There's too much wrong info out there, we need to vet ours so no one can accuse us of fake news.
