they haven’t been taking profits for years. in most cases, they’re taking losses.

for larger production breweries we will probably see layoffs more than closures. but with beer in decline for the last 4 years these tariffs could be brutal.

great question. some will have deep enough pockets but most breweries — especially smaller craft that already have higher COGs per pint, are selling less in taprooms (where most money is made) since covid. I think we will continue to see more closers.
