Tar Heel who helped raise a Vol. GB🍊. CPA, CFP(r). My opinions are mine. Do not rely on my posts as legal, tax, or investment advice.
If they shoot you dead your rights are irrelevant. That’s the problem with the 2A solution to this.

He represents a state where the finance industry has a lot of influence. He lives north of Charlotte. BoA, and Truist are headquartered in NC. Wells Fargo’s largest employment base is in Charlotte. The banks must be getting nervous.

Protects but doesn’t bind. Binds but doesn’t protect is a closed loop.

I was a 23 year old man in 1990 (and a tax accountant). Can confirm. I now have a 23 year old daughter who is also successfully launched. She and her friends run away from these guys.

Corporate America works in a similar way. When someone has reached a level beyond their competence, start looking at connections.

Nobody cares how you greet them. Just.be.nice.

So stupid. I live in a small college town in the same county as Charlotte—Davidson. Pretty liberal. Every December we shut down Main Street for 3 nights for “Christmas in Davidson”. Complete with a live nativity at the Methodist church. There’s a lit Christmas tree in the middle of the Town Green.

Who knew my mother with pancreatic cancer was a terrorist?

Maybe I’m misunderstanding. Are you saying that the idea that expanding the risk pool would lead to lower costs is false? Because that “idea” is. . .insurance.

You act like you were just dropped on earth with no knowledge of how politics in the US works. There are two groups in Washington with opposing views. One (Democrats)wants public healthcare and the other doesn’t. Rhetoric that ignores this fact is not helpful.

I had an Intermediate Accounting professor (Hi Dr Plumlee) tell us that what we thought we’d do for a living as college juniors and our actual careers would be so far apart we couldn’t comprehend it. He was right.

As a CPA (a technical education) also at UNC 1989 I completely agree. There’s knowing your profession, but also the ability to communicate it. The liberal arts I took gave me reference into art, culture, history, and language that enable me to make connections personally and in my work.

CPA who no longer does returns, but still deal with a niche area of taxation: “do I need a Trust?”

He wasn’t a financier. He trafficked girls to wealthy men. That’s how he bought an island.

I’ll help you report. This was Southend Charlotte last night. Absolutely crime ridden /s

And we have a jackass congressman in the next district north calling for it. Why anyone would try to damage one of the two primary economic engines of the state baffles me.

Southend Charlotte from The Trolley Barn tonight. Everyone out walking, jogging, and going out for a drink. Lovely evening. No crime.

Elect a reality TV person president—get reality TV as a government. Who could have seen that coming? /s

So he’s calling the troops to enforce back to office? Nobody works downtown anymore.

Good God this is a bad take. Housing acquisition drives a large part of the economy. Apartment rents are insane and there are no starter homes.

Aggressively stupid

I’m going to cancel Disney, Hulu, and ESPN + because of this. Corporations are out of control abusing their customers.

Financial Planner here with a recent college graduate who is well employed. It’s the $1,800 per month for a studio apartment that’s the problem, not an occasional treat. She cooks her own meals, makes coffee at home, and does free or low cost activities. For others it’s student loans.
