What do you love about it?

I promise not to be mean about it. Just curious if anyone has something nice to say about this storyline.

"Long simmering" implies, at the very least, repeat mentions -- like Bishop's search for the X-Traitor. This was taken off the stove and put in the deep freeze for nearly a decade, where it curdled into something completely different.

WIZARD MAGAZINE arpund this time described "The Twelve" as a "long simmering storyline" but the truth is, after two mentions in the late Claremont era, and one in the late-Lobdell minus issue, it was never mentioned until now.
