Thanks for speaking out despite the peer pressure. I wrote a couple of pieces on this topic, even presented about the how the concept of the commons is broken to the OSI. Mostly fell on deaf ears but maybe you’ll find something helpful.

How the fuck is this supposed to be useful? Why is everyone exhorting us to embrace tools that create problems more problems than they solve? How can we even call this progress with a straight face? When did we decide sycophancy was what our code needed?

When I pointed this out, it apologized and then hallucinated a new chunk of buggy code to point to. Literally just making up stuff that seems plausible but doesn’t actually exist in the code base.

I happened to have a handy 3.3v regulator for electronics prototyping which made the process much easier than the linked instructions.

Unpopular opinion, as a resident of Lisbon: Leave public transit for the locals who depend upon it. There are plenty of ways to see this beautiful city that don’t fuck over the people who depend on the trams to live.
