Ice cream snob, economically anxious tech bro. 🌐🍦🇺🇸🏗️
Anti-incumbency even got Assad, he should have gone on Rogan and run a strictly economically populist campaign. He ignored the working class Sunni voters to his own detriment!

Hospital monopolization is a criminally underrated reason for the grotesque monster that American healthcare has become. The popular narratives revolve around health insurance and ofc they are no saints. But when you have one or two mega chains running all clinics in a metro area, you have to (1/2)

Voters are actually terrible at voting for their own self interest. A great read that changed my fundamental political beliefs was “Democracy for realists” by Aachen’s and Bartels. They eloquently argue using poli sci studies that voters are subject to all the cognitive pitfalls that humans are. 1/x

Wishcasting your own policy positions feels good but ignores the reality of young men getting radicalized by a well-oiled misinformation ecosystem. Voters famously do not vote out of gratitude but rather perceived identity, until this problem can be addressed, democrats risk losing their base. 2/2

Many of the navel-gazers post election miss that such a systemic shift cannot be attributed to any one problem. Such a comprehensive swing is most likely due to voters’ perceived pain felt from inflation. If anything, the real take away is to acknowledge the information war taking place. 1/2
