A chaotic lover of film (and men) making the leap from Twitter to Bluesky; still got opinions ranging from "well, duh" to "he went there." Come and stay for the intriguing/contradictory perspectives on it all. #FilmSky
Another day, another film.

Choose one film a day from a great director. Name the film and director, and provide a still. Keep going for as long as you like.

Every time a "How to Train Your Dragon" poster pops up at a theater, the first thought that comes to mind is how Mason Thames looks like Mike Faist on the Substance.

They're beyond drinking it at this point. They're full on guzzling it "Sideways" style.

Haven't seen "Emilia Pérez" since its theatrical run in November. Admittedly a little trepidatious about the revisit since it became the most detested awards contender to ever exist but that's the thing with any form of pop art. #FilmSky

In honor of "Call Me by Your Name"'s seventh anniversary, this old shot of Luca Guadagnino, Timothée Chalamet, Michael Stuhlbarg and the producers introducing it at its AFI Fest premiere inside the @chinesetheatres.bsky.social . Hell of a night that changed many lives. #FilmSky

"Nosferatu", "Wicked" and "Maria" unseen, feeling quite confident in these four as my personal acting winners of 2024.

Having Bill Skarsgård's coffin from "Nosferatu" and Margaret Qualley's dragon kimono from "The Substance" across from each other is an excellent visual metaphor for how well horror fans have been "eating" this year. #FilmSky

It's always a joy seeing Luca Guadagnino discuss his process as a filmmaker.

Today's Q&A following "Challengers" (with Justin Kuritzkes, Jonathan Anderson and Marco Costa) was a real eye opener that really gives you a deeper appreciation of their combined talents.

A night later and there's entire sequences from Luca Guadagnino's audacious take on Burroughs' "Queer" that still haunt and resonate deeply, reaffirming him as a master who finds truly raw humanity in any story. It's cliché to say but Daniel Craig gives the performance of his career.

Overall: "The Brutalist"
Horror: "The Substance"
