A former believer examining his own beliefs through humor and discussion. Questioning everything I grew up believing. Also wrestling and whatever else is on my mind.
The best thing you can do for yourself is to never stop learning, it's the same thing I'm trying to teach my kids. I was raised in a heavily conservative, evangelical church, so I grew up learning to never question, now that's all I do. Learning is fun!

It's similar to, and yes this is something I've actually seen, a Christian saying the criticism of their religion and Bible is Christianphobic. It's important to understand the difference between the criticism of a religion and bigotry towards a people group.

I've seen several Islamic apologetics, and the only thing I come away with, is that Muhammad is a pedophile and Allah is, like the Christian god, a narcissistic, pedophilia condoning monster. It's an adult having a sexual relationship with a child, there are no other options. It's fucking gross.

There's several movies I love that came out when I turned 18 in 2006. The Omen, Hatchet, See No Evil, Texas Chainsaw: The Beginning, Apocalypto, The Hills Have Eyes, Final Destination 5, The Benchwarmers, The Departed, Blood Diamond, Accepted, Idiocracy and honestly I could go on 😂.

It's got to be the new track that Chevelle just released, I've been a fan of theirs since their 2002 release, Wonder What's Next.

...it all day long, that's exactly what apologetics are for. It's dishonest, but as long as it doesn't make their book or their god look bad, apparently dishonesty is alright.

...New Testament doesn't, but even Jesus said for slaves to obey their masters. He also said some other pretty awful things, but we can get into that another time. At the end of the day, most Christians simply won't acknowledge that the Bible says some terrible things, they'll dance around...

...for slavery, it absolutely does. In fact, not only does it advocate for it, it specifically gives rules for foreign slaves and indicates that one can beat their slave to within an inch of their life, so long as they don't die. And sure, you can say that's the Old Testament and the...
