Other users have suggested that I'm a bot because I didn't have anything here. So, there you go. I'm not a bot anymore.
Well, I can't edit that post. This isn't entirely accurate. The drone video link broadcasts around 5.8 GHz, so that wouldn't help find drone operators. I'm not sure what they're using for the control link (probably somewhere between 400 - 900 Mhz), but the same principle applies.

It's not as simple as that, but yes. FPV transmitters operate around the 5.8 GHz band due to transmitter/antenna size constraints. If it was as simple as strapping a Software Defined Radio on the nose of a drone and sniffing out broadcasts, we'd see a lot more drone operators KIA.

With a range of 3,000 km, they're most certainly launching from a good distance behind the front lines. By the time Russia detects the launch, IDs the launch site, gets Mig 31s armed with Kinzhals and wheels up, the AFU will have long since cleared the area.

He shut down Starlink before the Pentagon signed a contract to provide services for Ukraine. If Musk tried to shut it down now, Starlink would be in breach of contract, and Musk would likely be facing criminal charges.

That was my initial interpretation too, but it makes no sense. At $3-4 million US per missile, that would only amount to $15-20 million total. That's a rounding error in the context of all materiel supplied to Ukraine. I think he likely means they'll send 5 of every 35 (or ~14%) missiles delivered.

So they can quote that entire block of text from IBSF Article 1, but they can't bother quoting the text from the Olympic Charter that defines the helmet as "inconsistent with the Olympic Charter and Guidelines on Athlete Expression"? One word: Incompetence. Ok, two words: Corrupt.

forwarded through VPNs, so it wouldn't affect anything there either, provided the VPN server is outside of Russia's influence. There's also DNS over https, which encrypts the traffic and hides it among standard https traffic, which can be used to bypass ISP DNS filtering. There's a lot of options.

DNS just translates google.com to 142.250.190.46. You can host a local DNS server to perform lookups for blocked domains. Any other DNS queries would then be forwarded to official DNS servers. So, blocking DNS queries won't do much to a marginally tech savvy individual. Also, DNS queries are

At just before 2 seconds, you can see a black dot taking off and moving towards the top left corner of the video. Whether that was an FPV drone or not, I couldn't say.
February 9, 2026 at 1:23 PM
I'm wondering if the FPV isn't carrying a radio link relay. Since Starlink has been disabled, they're going to have to rely on legacy comms and the limitations they entail. I saw Youtuber report the other day that Ubiquiti was helping circumnavigate sanctions. We need to keep an eye on them.

There was a video published yesterday of the launch of 4 Flamingos.

Exilenova published footage showing the launch of four FP-5 Flamingo cruise missiles, of which some reportedly flew towards the direction of the Kapustin Yar test launch site. #Ukraine

Precision indeed. The FP-5 seems to have had some problems in that regard. If they're using the same guidance system, the higher speed is going to make error accumulate much, much faster.

I had to do the math. It's Mach 3.5 at sea level. For reference, ATACMS is about Mach 3.0, which is a typical speed for SRBMs. Also for reference, the term "hypersonic" has been waaaay overemphasized. The German V2 was hypersonic. Hypersonic with terminal guidance, though, that's the hard part.

I reported the channel. I think this is called handle squatting, and it's a violation of blue sky terms of service.

It's Russian nature to conflate respect and fear. From their perspective the most they've ever been respected was during the cold war. They probably still touch themselves while thinking about the children doing nuclear duck and cover drills on the other side of the world.

I wonder if Maisie Williams has some time open in her schedule.

Same thing I said. I imagine he would say that superior Russian satellites are immune to Kessler Syndrome, unlike pathetic inferior western technology. Though, that would require him to think, which he can't because he's too preoccupied with pickling his brain in vodka to fuel his next tirade.
February 3, 2026 at 2:48 PM
I thought Russia was the best at everything and doesn't need inferior western tech. Russia should just use its own low latency, low earth orbit internet satellite constellation. His vodka pickled brain probably thinks Russian satellites are immune to Kessler Syndrome too.

Well, that was their choice. Don't blame it on the "Orange Fuhrer". We all have free agency and are responsible for our own decisions. Deflecting blame onto someone else just shows your weakness. Furthermore, they were all going to make those trade deals regardless of Trump's actions.

Ok, I'll play along. What exactly about anything that you just said makes the US a dictatorship? Elucidate me, please. You use a bunch of emotionally charged words, but none of it falls into the definition of a dictatorship. Saying and doing are two very different things. Learn the difference.

totalitarian state." Sure, Trump's an ass, but you clearly have no idea what a totalitarian state looks like. Just because you're miserable in your middle class suburbia hell, doesn't change the definition of things. Go to a 3rd world country to see how most people actually live, then we can talk.

Geography and population? What does that even mean in this context? Seriously, I have no idea what you're talking about, and I don't think you do either. "Fascism is characterized by dictatorial power, forcible suppression of opposition, and the subordination of individual interests to a

Why do people keep insisting on drawing parallels between the US government and dictatorships? If the US was a dictatorship, the secret police would have kicked your door down within minutes of clicking the reply button.
