Interesting move.

This minimises the chances stochastic terrorism unleashed by Trump kills her as RW nutters see this as her falling on her sword. The date secures her pension at 62. It seperates her from Trump so she can run when Trumpism is in history's dustbin & gifts Trump a scary by election.

Spot on!

"Retirement with a deferred, full pension is available if the Member leaves Congress before reaching the minimum age required to receive an immediate, unreduced pension ... a full pension can be taken at the age of 62 if the Member had 5-9 years of federal service"

So @australia.theguardian.com, what's the chance that the bit of debris found near Newman comes from the only rocket launched that day, which happens to be from Taiyuan just north of Newman into a polar orbit over Newman?

I agree!

Below are media trust figures for the US rather than Australia, but I suspect ours are similar.

The NPC is just following the MSM in deplatforming large sectors of society. So many valid viewpoints are deplatformed that, in the US, I guess only 28% of people don't notice the bias.

I bet it was a good opportunity to substantially increase his bank balance.

Comedy washing human rights abuses is no laughing matter.

The terms were broader than he says:

As an Australian, I really hope it is just the US based entity that has been sold.

@senatorwong.bsky.social choose potential Chinese influence over certain US Nazi oligarch influence.

US TikTok will strive to destroy @australianlabor.bsky.social.

We might part company on what Indian Ocean trade routes into China the US commerce raiding submarines operating our of Perth might target were a conflict to happen?

How keen is Albo on shutting down trade to China given 36.8% of our exports (and 63% of our export shipping) went there in 2024 ?

OMG!

Ned Kelly refused to follow rulings in Australia. Our legal system didn't say "cool and normal, do what you want mate", it did this:

It seems like you are more afraid of losing your job, like Dowd, for telling the truth than of losing your respect by telling lies.
September 14, 2025 at 8:45 PM
Woah, it also has Anduril written on it.

Anduril is a company that is bankrolled by Peter Thiel - an oligarch linked to Palantir surveillance software and to Elon Musk.

No one should be shot but why are you calling a hate speech activist a free speech activist.
September 11, 2025 at 3:25 PM
It would be absolutely terrifying were this to happen.

However, the only good thing about this is your source: The Sun.

Even wikipedia doesn't trust The Sun as a source.

Can you find a reputable source reporting this?

Mehreen Faruqi does owns 1 residential and 1 investment property which does make her a landlord.

However, the Greens are standing up for improved renters rights whereas Labor isn't.

Are there personal drivers on Greens pollies - yep. I'd prefer divestment. But are these effecting policy much?

Spot on!

Short stays have different effects in different markets but in Tasmania especially they are a seriously major driver of the rental crisis.

These are 2022 figures:

Every anti-genocide protest in Adelaide has had SAPOL mounted police menacing it.

We know what violence they would visit on us if we were a tenth as disruptive as those pro-climate-catastrophy nutters.

If they accept that some kids - especially older kids -- will be fairly consistently classed as adults and do go with biometric age verification ... every system in use uses ID as a backup for adults misclassified as kids.

Over time many adults, especially younger adults, will be misclassified.

Starmer's hard right Labour is a disaster.

People suspected it from the start. Some knew.

He got less votes than @jeremycorbyn.bsky.social's Labour did in 2017 or 2019. The difference was the CON vote was disastrously low in 2024.

Even more people now see Starmer's entryists for what they are.

Spot on!

The pre-industrial level of CO2 was about 280 ppm.

We were at 364.51 ppm when Kyoto was signed & countries promised to fix it.

We're at about 422 ppm now.

This isn't a PR problem. Spin won't save us.

As you say: REAL action is needed NOW.

Putin is truly awful: a dictator and a monster.

He orders the killing of Ukrainian civilians instrumentally to achieve his corrupt goals.

However, Trump's proxies - who he arms, encourages and supports - are doing far worse when it comes to killing civilians. Far far worse.

I loved Outland, a Western in space, like High Noon in the vibe of Alien.

Lazarus was a great role and Sternhagen played it really well.

While Hyams' script was misogynistic, Hyams obviously wasn't as he gave Sternhagen a rounded role (written for a man):

This is an odd story. Michelle Grattan acknowledges that the original "Hamas praise" story seems completely bogus but then falls into the anchoring generated by that story and characterises "better late then never" as praise. Good journo that she is she does quote the statement.
