Current Project: Prototyping
Finding out that the reason for why it took so long was that they were having too much fun developing it should be a massive green flag.

People are too grumpy for no reason!!!

Seems like a misguided attempt to emulate Nasu's writing style, my Japanese isn't the best but it tends to flow more naturally in the Japanese language from my experience.

I've heard a lot of Unity devs have really taken to Godot, so it's definitely worth checking out :)

I've been having a blast using it after switching from Gamemaker.

It took a bit, but once things started to make sense I've felt like I've been able to implement mechanics with very little friction.

The node system and built in scripting tools make everything really seamless.

I absolutely adored Stranger of Paradise, it's campy as hell but it's got so much sincerity to it.
One of those games that makes me all warm and fuzzy inside while I play.

A person I know who works for a large studio that has some of the earliest Unity adopters -- ended up switching to Godot because it's just such a massive risk with the insane decisions they make.

It's sad to switch over but at least the community can rebuild into something more reliable.

I looked at how Unity did things for a day and then immediately realized how good I have it with Godot lmao

That "small video game" feeling is one of my biggest motivators when developing, little else is as satisfying 😊

This has to be the most cursed code I've ever written in my life
