I wish someone had told me when entering the program that imposter syndrome is totally normal 💭. It fades as you grow, learn, and hit milestones 🎯. You’re not expected to know everything—just when to ask for help! Remember that we all start somewhere, and help is always available 💙

NP students at the College of Nursing complete four clinical placements 🏥. I had the privilege of spending two weeks in Flin Flon, MB, where I learned to adapt with limited resources and care for a tight-knit northern community. I built confidence through an experience that I’ll never forget 🌲✨.

One of the best parts of grad school is getting to focus on what YOU care about 🎯📚! We’ve been able to choose our own topics for papers and projects, and right now, we’re writing advocacy letters to government on issues we’re passionate about. Such valuable experience! 💬

Being in the NP program has exceeded my expectations 🎓. I’ve been genuinely impressed by how supportive and accommodating the faculty are, and I’ve made some lifelong friends. This program has pushed me out of my comfort zone and helped me grow as a leader and advocate for healthcare in Manitoba 📣

Four things you need to apply for the NP program:
1️⃣ A statement of intent
2️⃣ 3 letters of reference
3️⃣ CV & transcripts
4️⃣ Proof of CRNM registration & 2 years (3,600 hrs) RN practice
Then: wait for an interview invite & results in a few weeks! ✅🚀🎉🩺

Why choose the NP program? I chose the NP program after working with people experiencing homelessness in Winnipeg—many without primary care. As an NP, I hope to focus on disease prevention & health promotion to help build a healthier future for those I care for 💙🩺
