I've been trying the same from the other side, but the mere suspicion of disagreement is enough to get you a stealth block at best, harassed at worst, but most of the time just "lol no, why should we talk to people who are different than us" from the self proclaimed most tolerant people in the room.

The only thing I've seen is rage, attacks, self-shaving, self-isolation, and self expatriation by people on the left. I've been trying to talk to people but so far I've had none that have any interest in talking in a civil manner to someone who is different than them.
