I started using the #ClipStudioPaint 's recording feature to watch myself draw and see what I can improve upon. This took about 8 hours and about half of it was spent on the hair, so I need to find a more effective was to draw hair, me thinks .3. #Speedpaint

Thank you! <3 Ngl I spend the most time shading the hair.

This was just meant to be a quick sketch to figure out her hair and somehow got out of hand. I don't even know if this is the hairstyle I want to go with-
Ngl lately Marvel Rivals been influencing my art style a lot, I'm just so in love with how it looks and I'm not even really into comic.

Somehow you managed to both invoke a sense of serene calmness and yet at the same time dynamic movement with the cloth swaying in the wind. The contrasting vibes are just *chiefs kiss* gives the pic such an otherworldly feel <3

If it was just me disliking it I would have just chalked it up to me being picky, but I observed that plenty other feel similarly so I don't get why you keep doubling down on something that doesn't seem to work.

If you show them semi realistic art and it’s met with apathy and stylized art that is met with plenty of positive attention, it’s obvious what style one should choose. It doesn’t necessarily mean the art is bad it just means they were a style mismatch.
November 14, 2025 at 10:43 PM
All my critique towards everyone not-you was reasonable. A lot of issues stem from being print on demand and a style mismatch for what most the fandom wants.
November 14, 2025 at 10:38 PM
And advertising yourself as “cheap and fast” is… why would anyone do that to themselves?
November 14, 2025 at 10:32 PM
Again, reasonable criticism. A comic book artist should be able to draw a character consistently, especially the protagonists. F.e. in the first half of the comic she has an arched nose and in the second half she has an upturned nose.

Saying they are children book artists is not an insult or critique, it’s their job description. Whoever decided to put children's book art next to what looks like at least teen to (young) adult art is who set them up for all the roasting they got on Reddit.
The drastic style change gave me whiplash.

It’s not an insult, it’s criticism. Saying that a 250€ figure arriving shattered at the exact same weak spots each time doesn’t exactly live up to professional standards is reasonable. I didn’t see a single picture of the figure arriving unbroken. That is unacceptable for that price tag.
November 14, 2025 at 10:27 PM
That’s from a public chat and I censored it. Same reason I’ve added the Reddit links that unfortunately don’t work, to show that it’s not just me having too high standards, plenty of other people are also very unhappy about the store. Evidence.
November 14, 2025 at 10:25 PM
Or they are scared that if they criticise you, you’ll take out on their fav character.
November 14, 2025 at 10:23 PM
Yeahhh… pretty much everyone thinks the rest of the Kickstarter money went to the puppet. So there is that. 🤷
November 14, 2025 at 10:22 PM
And like I said, your design wouldn’t have been less of a big deal if there had been better pins in the store afterwards. But there are only the chibi ones and it seems a lot of people in the fandom don’t like chibis in general that much. Using Reddit and the Bestseller tab to see that.
November 14, 2025 at 10:20 PM
Yeah, she is great. We got lovingly crafted handmade stuff from her and then we got downgraded to print on demand service which is never as good as the bespoke stuff.
If you think that is rude it’s for the better the links don’t work.
November 14, 2025 at 10:17 PM
I already explained why the no time argument makes no sense. Also, I did order commission privately and commercially myself and it really doesn’t take a lot of time. Unless you took over as designer, which I honestly feel you did.
November 14, 2025 at 10:16 PM
That’s me asking if REALLY only 10 items made it past the 100 sales mark. Because it’s not the 10 items I would have guessed apart from place 1.
November 14, 2025 at 10:15 PM
Yeah, I know? Is that regarding the part where I explain the price sheets? That part wasn’t for you. Most people think the merch store is an overpriced cash grab, and I’m clarifying that those are actually the recommended retail prices. I *try* to be harsh but fair in my critiques.
November 14, 2025 at 10:14 PM
The same George that did the Bulgarian covers?? I can tell that the Chibi’s were drawn by him, but the semi realistic stuff and the 2024 Halloween pic look like they were drawn by completely different artists?
Man went from drawing the best UtE cover to drawing tentacle fetish Christmas cards RIP-
November 14, 2025 at 10:12 PM
That’s not ripping off the artist. The covers are in a pop-art-modern-comic art style, which is the same category as Spiderverse. There are plenty of artists that draw like that. It’s like a genre. Just like drawing in Chibi style isn't ripping another artist off.
November 14, 2025 at 10:09 PM
The store went live 2 years ago, at least the Kickstarter polling was done way before that, and there have been multiple merch drops since, so the no-time argument makes no sense.
November 14, 2025 at 10:08 PM
I get that Skul and Val will be the main focus. Be more clear about the other characters being a “maybe” because that leads to expectations that weren’t there before, which leads to disappointment. I waited over a year for the merch only to find out it won’t happen.
