Nobody from Nowhere

A jack of many trades, a master of none.
Neesom's "Marlowe" is good.
Not a classic, but it is solid.
Come to think of it, I'll have to re-watch James Garner's outing as Marlowe.

Thinking further, I'm going to have to re-watch Paul Newman's classic "Harper". Even though that's Lew Archer.

Mitchum IS Marlowe.
Farewell My Lovely is a neo-noir classic.

And I hated The Long Goodbye when I first saw it. But upon watching it again, I found it to have it's own off kilter charm. Though it's not quite Marlowe.

What did you think of Dick Powell's turn as Marlowe?
Or Liam Neeson's?

It is, admittedly, a controversial theory.

An alternative theory about Miss Marple
She is a supernatural entity who
- survives on freshly murdered souls
- is drawn to murder scenes
- causes other murders around that initial scene
- uses mind control powers to make people believe cockamamie 'solutions' pinning the blame on original murderer

It's a shame Bongino doesn't take live callers on his podcast.

'Cause I'd love to see the betting world's over/under for how many minutes it would take for a listener to grill Bongo-boy about the Epstein files.

I hope they're also doing the Infancy Gospel of Thomas, where that young scamp Jesus curses to death a bunch of people who piss him off.

We in the US have an ingrained, historic dislike of anything with authority, like science and intellectuals.

Although some of us seem to be wild about authoritarianism, either political or economic.

I suspect it comes from "biblical hierarchical thinking" i.e "that guy's chosen by Gawd".

Naw. My post was too terse
1) We are all genetic "freaks", since we are not clones.
2) Some forms of genetic "freakiness" are more accepted then others, i.e. height, weight.
3) This transphobia is a politically ginned up pseudo controversy created by fascists.
4) I have disdain for sports in general

I believe that the legendary athletes in sports probably have some sort of genetic freakishness about them; i.e. Michael Phelps' huge flipper-like feet, Professional American Basketball Players being outlandishly tall...

Level the playing field for non-genetic outliers.
Lead shoes?
Amputations?

Big Jim McBob and Billy Sol Hurok enjoyed movies in general. They just preferred the ones where things "got blowed up real good!"

Beware of dating apps.
As you have found, they tend towards grifting.
I have also heard they foster... let us say, bad ecosystems.

But there may be a few outlying success stories.

Continue your research before you jump in.

Perhaps it's their form of a "shit test"?

They seek only fellow fell thinkers or those poor enough and desperate enough to put up with their shit?

Bullet dodged, I say.
