Skar King: Can barely fight Kong

SpaceGodzilla: will probably give the belt-to-ass whooping to Godzilla and Kong at the same time
December 27, 2025 at 7:20 AM
Honestly, that’s really what it is.

Bluesky is still boring and I only come here once in a half-year, but it’s the only app on the Internet nowadays that doesn’t constantly piss me off.
December 27, 2025 at 7:02 AM
I know. It’s bad. My ultimate hard question is, after SpaceGodzilla, then what? How is the MonsterVerse going to have stakes after THAT?
December 27, 2025 at 7:01 AM
This is going to be the beginning of the end of the threat scaling of the MonsterVerse, because knowing these movies, in order to kill SpaceGodzilla, Godzilla is going to get ANOTHER super form that might be stronger than even Shimo herself, and Kong is going to get some world-ending super weapon.
December 27, 2025 at 6:28 AM
What’s the solution to this? I’ve already heard this answer many times. “Just create stronger villains.” Well, it seems like they are doing exactly that, because the villain for Godzilla X Kong: Supernova is confirmed to be SpaceGodzilla. A Godzilla villain who is FAMOUS for being overpowered.
December 27, 2025 at 6:25 AM
So now, the next villain has to be literally 20x stronger than the literal apocalyptic world-ending King Ghidorah just to be a threat to Godzilla alone, but for another Godzilla X Kong film, it would have to be strong enough to beat up Shimo, who was literally unharmed by the strongest Godzilla ever
December 27, 2025 at 6:23 AM
This already kills the stakes because now the villains have to be absurdly overpowered like Shimo, but… there’s a problem. Shimo herself is a good guy.
December 27, 2025 at 6:21 AM
Then we get to Godzilla himself. Godzilla, in the last movie was already powerful enough to shoot his heat ray all the way up the core of the earth. But now, he’s in a form where his skin is tougher on a molecular level and he’s now stronger than any supercharge like in 2019 when he fought Ghidorah.
December 27, 2025 at 6:20 AM
Ironically, MechaGodzilla, who was weaker than Ghidorah, created higher stakes than Shimo ever did because he didn’t need to be absurdly overpowered, he simply just beat up Godzilla and almost killed Kong in his fight with them and didn’t need to be a world-ending creature.
December 27, 2025 at 6:16 AM
That is completely unnecessary and unneeded, and it only exists to create stakes that were even higher than Ghidorah, as if Ghidorah didn’t literally cause a biblical event on the earth.

Oh, King Ghidorah created literal hypercanes in 2019? Oh, well, Shimo caused the literal ICE AGE. Why? Just why?
December 27, 2025 at 6:14 AM
Shimo is so overpowered that Godzilla, who was already the most powerful character in the entire MonsterVerse, couldn’t even damage her, even in a stupid super sayian supercharged evolved form that was 20x stronger than the Godzilla who drilled to the center of the earth. That is beyond problematic.
December 27, 2025 at 6:12 AM
Then in New Empire, the power scaling just gets ridiculous with the outrageously overpowered Shimo, the unnecessary Evolved Godzilla, and to a smaller extent, Kong with his super glove.
December 27, 2025 at 6:09 AM
Other than that, the power scaling, was great, especially the threat scaling of MechaGodzilla who was only an existential threat to Godzilla and Kong, and not a world-ending threat because he never could be nor was supposed to be. Mecha did fight weakened versions of the two, but was still a threat.
December 27, 2025 at 6:08 AM
Then in Godzilla vs Kong, the power is somewhat balanced, but the power creep started to show problems such as Godzilla shooting a heat ray so powerful that it literally drills to the center of the earth, while he’s in a much higher base of power that he’s ever been in because of the 2019 nuke.
December 27, 2025 at 6:05 AM
And to add on to that, Ghidorah caused the Mass Awakening which woke up over 17 city-destroying titans across the world, effectively shaping the earth to his liking for at least HOURS.
December 27, 2025 at 6:02 AM
In King of the Monsters, King Ghidorah was shown to be the living apocalypse itself, whose storms were able to literally and absolutely submerge Washington D.C to the point where battleships can sail through it, such storms were caused by his mere existence messing up the atmosphere.
December 27, 2025 at 6:00 AM
When I said the complaint makes sense, I was talking about the part about his complaint that was talking about the issue with threat scaling in general. Hell, the MonsterVerse is actually the BIGGEST example of this, and I’ll explain in a thread.
December 27, 2025 at 5:58 AM
This complaint makes sense because when shows and movies start to turn into sci-fi/fantasy action, they always do this power creep nonsense with the threat scaling, and it just devolves into another shonen anime.

The problem with Trump isn't that he's the worst America has to offer. It's that he's the most honest product of what America has always been.

Yeah, how are you going to be a self-made billionaire that’s legitimate?

An illegitimately self-made billionaire?
December 27, 2025 at 3:37 AM
Logically, no. Even becoming a self-made millionaire is something that would take entire DECADES of your life.

And hell, even if you had crazy good connections or whatever, you would be a multi-millionaire at best.

Becoming a billionaire OBJECTIVELY includes some form of exploitation/dirty tricks.
