They can stick nursing students in med-surg, SNF, etc. but paramedicine students can only really practice their skills-focused curriculum in certain higher acuity units.

Medic students get relatively high quality clinicals compared to nursing students - I mostly just shadowed nurses, hoping for a chance to actually practice a clinical skill I learned.

That's so wild. We at least had clinical sites. Overwhelmingly med surg, but we had something, at least. Hope they get something for you that works well!!
