Possibly, now that the game as come out, this pauline is the granddaughter of the original pauline, like how DK III was the original DK's (aka Cranky) grandson.

Microsoft is way worse than Nintendo, and that's considering how mosntrous and anti consumer nintendo can be themselves.

Well. Expect for the prices.

Unless it’s like at least hours worth of content or so, it’ll be a massive ripoff.

It’s also packed with a massive price that likely isn’t what the game is worth.

I think a lot of people need to stop being angry at quality of life or accessibility features as a concept. Sure, some may not need it, but other people may want to use them or need them to have a better experience. They shouldn’t be forced on the player, but they almost never are.

I say this because I talked to a person on the other site about blue coins and they said quality of life features for that are bad in general, and that you can just use Mariowiki, which I don’t agree with at all.

I’m not saying make the experience easy, but I’m just talking about making it so that newer players don’t feel discouraged as easily from finding the coins.

Wonder is not perfect but it’s a great foundation for what 2D Mario can be. The NSMB games are solid, but are quite bland and don’t do much to set themselves apart. Wonder at least somewhat stands out, and there’s a lot that can be done to build upon what it did well and improve its shortcomings.

As for my thoughts on the two games, I would say that DKCTF offers a better any% experience, but the 100% experience in wonder is where it does better.

To be fair, Wonder’s presentation blows the NSMB games out of the water. The gameplay isn’t that different, and has some similar issues (low difficulty mainly) but I would argue the presentation is the one thing Nintendo absolutely nailed in that game.

*general sense

I kind of meant in a general since, which game did you enjoy more. Not just the completionist aspects, but everything all together.
January 29, 2025 at 11:38 PM
That got me to asking. Which game would you say is better? Mario Wonder or Tropical freeze? I say this as both games, I’d guess according to you, have the opposite problems.
