This is my "non canon" scenario after the end of PLA where instead of Volo leaving forever, Jirou and Volo stick together in messy codependency. Jirou's the closest Volo gets to Arceus, and Volo gives Jirou the connection he so badly craves

It's so funny how in Pokemon Masters, Volo's lodge gifts are given with such flourish, and then said gifts are stuff like a juice box or a tacky toy ring
