Yuki Soma (Fruits Basket) - One of the best deutoragonists in manga, as his journey to overcoming his abusive family and standing on his own two feet inspired me many times.

Son Hak (Yona of the Dawn) - A great companion to the protagonist whose demeanor and prowess reminds me of Guts at times

Yatorishino Igsem (Alderamin on the Sky) - A wonderful foil to the protagonist who both complements and challenges him as he fights against an unfair world whose presence is always felt no matter what the circumstances. PS: watch or read Alderamin

Taichi Mashima (Chihayafuru) - My favorite character in that series, as i relate to him a lot with an inferiority complex, the desire to stay with his closest friends and his growth to become someone who doesn't run away from his fears.
