You do stay as the human form but it doesn’t look like a usual pokemon human hahah

That’s why I called it a “rough” human form. You play as a full on ditto and it takes a human form but it’s a funny creature

And you morph between pokemon forms to use moves to build your village

..and the trailer played alot of kanto motifs and music, and the Ditto trainer dresses up as a bunch of other rough imitations of Kanto trainers lol.. who knows

Potentially could be post-apocalypse or post-humans pokemon world? Maybe a bit too early to call that lol. Doesnt seem too Pokemon of a concept to do… BUT the exact premise of DQB is a ruined world if the hero from the mainline Dragon Quest timeline failed, so it isnt unheard of from this team

Alot of the ruined buildings on the island seem to be human made, but none live there anymore as the professor tangrowth mentions in the trailer

Yeah exactly, you play as a ditto who wakes up by breaking out of its Pokeball on an ruined abandoned island and takes the rough form of a “human” that it based on a busted up pokedex with a photo of its trainer obscured on it

Also to be Devil’s advocate it very much is not GF’s fault, it’s TPCi’s for forcing them to pump out the games on an unbearable deadline that never seems to increase while the demands for what needs to be included only grows more ambitious. I do feel for that team. It is not them but the higher ups

—Z-A (on Switch 2, no idea how it runs on Switch) While not the most impressive thing visually (we DO deserve better), it wasn’t weak, just decent. Gameplay and every other aspect were phenomenal. So overall a good game. Weaker spots but nothing like the rest of the switch gen which was nice

The builders games focused on the requests from specific named character villagers and made your village feel really lived in so it seems they tried their hand at it with these which I like

As for GF I still don’t have much hope for the mainlines but I was very very pleasantly surprised with—

GF *is* still involved but they brought Koei Tecmo on so we’ll see I suppose

Regardless DQB2 is one of my all time favourite games and I’ve been begging for a DQB3 so I will take what I can get lol

Also seeing original visually different pokemon characters from Pokemon themselves is alot of fun
