Yeah it’s when they realized what direction they wanted to go with the tone of the series since season 1 couldn’t decide if it was a slice of life idol show, weird harem thing, or sports lol.

If you haven’t seen s2 yet I would definitely recommend it, it’s honestly peak sports anime writing.
