Super Castlevania 4!
Played this foe the first time with the GF, and I had a fun time! Some parts of it irked me a bit (Stage 8) but otherwise I had a great time ❤️
I'll need to play it more to see where If I like it more than Rondo or not, but it's a beloved classic for good reason!

Super Castlevania 4!

Puella Magi Madoka Magika (Movie trilogy)
Still amazing, the character writing and storytelling are great, and the animation quality of the recap movies really added to the experience. Rebellion really amps everything up for the eventual sequel.

And this game is a really fun gem to blitz through. The music is amazing in both 8 and 16 bit, the world is fun to explore, and it always makes me chuckle with its dialog. Just great ❤️

In preparation for the Sea of stars DLC, I'm replaying the first game in this little world!
And this game is a really fun gem to blitz through. The music is amazing in both 8 and 16 bit, the world is fun to explore, and it always makes me chuckle with its dialog. Just great ❤️

While I think overall I prefer the first game, This game was still a really fun time!

While I think overall I prefer the first game, This game was still a really fun time!

The most random game in the series I've played so far. But ironically it's probably one of the most fun games because of it, the strategies you can cook up on these build a board is really fun!
Definitely one of my new favorite MPs!

Castlevania: SOTN! (PS1 original)
A classic for good reason, This game is just fun. Great music, great level design, I even find the inverted castle to be a good time, even if worse than the main castle.
Draculas VA actually carries tho. Genuinely good in this games otherwise mid casting choices.

Bloodstained Ritual of the night!
A really fun spiritual successor to both Symphony of the night, and the Sorrow Duology!
The shards were fun to play with, and the Weapon variety really pulled it's weight! I did get lost a lot more though, but otherwise this game was a blast ❤️

For the longest time, I only played Dawn of Sorrow to completion. So it only feels right to finally get to the first one ^^

Aria or Sorrow!

I'm still genuinely shocked by how well designed and fun this game is, especially after Samus Returns disappointed me compared to AM2R.
Playing it randomized really put into perspective how well crafted this game really is.

Really solid entry! The stages were fun, weapons were good, and the music was okay by megaman standards. The double gear system seemed balanced at first, until I got my hands on the speed gear upgrade. That thing is BROKEN.

Calling this game a massive step up from the first would be an understatement. Everything from level design, to story, to character writing is all excellent. The change in formula was for the better.
Now I'm really excited for how it all comes together in Sly 3.

Despite vastly preferring the former, BT had a lot of fun ideas, and was a funny ride!
That said, the levels were far too large for their own good, and with the main collectible count being the same as the 1st game, it leads to the levels *Feeling* larger, in a bad way.

A series I've been wanting to get to for years after watching Super gaming bros play it so many years ago, and the first entry had a pretty solid start!
The Gameplay was fun, music was good and the levels were well designed.
The framework will change from here on, but this game is great.

Played this one with my Partner and her GF, and this was honestly pretty... Okay.
The mushroom gimmicks felt underbaked, and the mini specifically felt like a worse skeleton key. We also quickly got through all the mini games very early on.
Still, MP is a blast even with these issues

It took me way too long to get to this one as a longtime souls fan, but here we are.
Easily has some of the best gameplay in the franchise. With great bosses, great world design, and so many weapons and build options to choose from. While DS1 is still gonna be my fave, ER is still great

Starting off with a Bang, Trails in the sky the 3rd!
This game was a masterpiece. It does not progress the world's story at large, but acts instead as a send-off for the cast we got to know through the 1st 2 games. With Kevin and his life being the center of attention. Easily a 10/10 for me.
