Just judging by your tweets, you are already an accomplished researcher & your speaking engagement underscore that you are established. A PhD doesn’t seem to add much in terms of skill set/ qualification (unless you’re aiming for academia).

One way to look at it is whether you need a PhD for what you want to do. Outside academia a PhD is almost never needed.
