Today I learned I've been purling wrong all this time! 🫠 My stockinette stitch always looked a little wobbly, but I thought it was because I'm left handed. Looked it up today... my purls are twisted! I'm making a swatch to practice the correct way to purl and it's already looking so good 😭🧶🪄

When I was younger my grandma tried to teach me knitting and crocheting, but I didn't quite get the hang of it beyond crocheting chains and knitting scarves. Last year I gave it another try and now I'm a happy yarn nerd 🤩
Few years later I picked up knitting as well (far more painful for me to learn, what was I supposed to do with my HANDS), and more yarn than I ever know what to do with. What's your origin story?

I'm learning to knit lace patterns and was working with a diagram (chart?) yesterday. The work didn't look like the photo though... took me way too long to realize that, because I'm left handed, my left-leaning decreases lean right instead and vice versa! 🧶🤣
