I like that. I know the school my kids are in at least try to teach it. And here (northern Ireland) it's very important to be able to question your sources.
Kids say a lot of their peers cant see the point of looking for opposing views but mine both do and have got their friends to do the same.

Absolutely and we seem to have forgotten that or not taught it to enough ppl and now we have people believing what the saw on Facebook or tiktok unquestioning and I just... I get so tired thinking of ways to fight that

It's such an important skill to have and having it I think makes it harder for ppl to take advantage and radicalise out with propaganda. And boy do we need to learn defenses, preferably a few decades ago but it is what it is sadly

The more I read about the results where UBI has been tested the more convinced I am that society badly needs it. Though sadly all our ruling classes are more likely to fight it tooth and nail than actually usher it in.

Apart from that, wake up every day and teach my own kids empathy, understanding all those critical thinking and propaganda skills. Talk about what's acceptable in all sorts of media they come across from when they are small to teenagers.

Reading skills. Teach them to do proper source control of information and how propaganda looks and works. In the long run I think the last one is desperately needed.

Can come up with is tackling inequalities. And do it properly not a sticking plaster that just makes it look better but fundamental societal change in how we all deal with unemployment, housing, disabilities and benefits. UBI would be a good start

Oh god no definitely not anti immigrant. These days I'm an immigrant myself though all my family (apart from my kids) are in Sweden still some very vulnerable for the far right.

Today's Sweden is very different, its politics are a lot dirtier and uglier and the far right are hoping for serious wins and a part in the gvmnt following next year's elections. I hope that fails but am afraid it won't.

Most of the city (yes it's small population wise but still a city) had gradually been moved the last few years. Not the first church to be moved in s northern Swedish town/city either as the one in Malmberget was moved 1974 and is to be moved again soon. Again mining.
