First book I ever read voluntarily was The Gods Themselves by Isaac Asimov. Never looked back since. The man was a genius.

I think fantasy has always had lgbtq characters since way back, Ive been reading Fantasy for 40 years and love it, I'm an old white guy, so you know 'the enemy' but what is fantasy without every character type imaginable? It's part of the genre, always has been, always will be.
