The way i realized it was new years was because i woke up in the middle of the night by fireworks. This didnt make me realize on its own mind you because my neighbors just let off fireworks at random times seemingly but anyway happy new year… (days late…)

i made an account for a book reviewing website called story graph. It seems pretty okay for reading and writing reviews and cataloguing what books you've read. Hopefully writing a few will help me articulate myself and stuff

I just learned that my library does in fact have the cross-library borrowing thing. And also they just have a lot of classic books already that i like. So that’s nice, more physical books in my future

My posts are getting more inaccessible by the day but basically i bought a book literally called “preface to plato” and it literally requires that you read plato FIRST. Now i have to read like all of plato and in the meantime i just feel really pretentious having a book like this that i haven’t read

Oh yes, thanksgiving. i read for a while and played svc chaos. I later got horrifically overstimulated trying and failing to make instant biscuits. i ate three of those biscuits and then 1/3 of a devilled egg and promptly left. my family was understanding enough; could be much worse.

I've read a lot of very old books and am well aware that words can change meanings completely over time but this still hit me like a nuke
