I anticipate when Farage is ousted in a future government slimy Jenrick will be first in line for a leadership challenge.

No of course flip flop jenrick will now share the net stupid zero rhetoric

Its funny because last week it was oh those tweets are from 11 years ago when farage was trash talking jenrick barely 6 months ago on twitter.

They should go to wither and fade but the truth is (and I think this is what Jenrick is betting on) they've got more chance of getting a seat at the next general election by being in Reform. They care more for their jobs than the British people and have the audacity to call themselves patriots.

What are your thoughts? However you define yourself politically I want to hear your opinions. (7) #RobertJenrick #KemiBadenoch #Reform #Greenparty #Labour #NigelFarage #Farage #Jenrick

His anti small boat, broken Britain, politics of grievance rhetoric, has in my opinion felt like a year+ long audition tape for either the Conservative party leadership or either a Reform party seat. He is a slimy, opportunist but he sold himself very well to the Reform base. (6)

build personal strength now her leadership challenger is gone. The only problem is that like Labour, the Tories have no idea how to do politics and comms. If she utilised it correctly she could steal some reform voters back but I doubt she will. Moving on to Jenrick (5)

are the real Conservatives committing to rebuilding the party, recognising their failures (utilising the defection to double down on this as it hasn't landed really) and making changes to the party essentially a party reset. Her main competition is gone she can use this to... (4)

If she wants to succeed (I don't want her to succeed I'm a green supporter but...) she needs to use this to really bring a strong media attack against Reform. The ball is in her court to highlight instead of ignore the defections and state strongly that the remaining MPs... (3)

support the party even if it's filled with ex Tories. I think this is a risk. If Badenoch opts to utilise the defection in her comms she could argue quite convincingly that options on the right are to vote for the real conservatives or the deadwood conservative party (2)

He states he respects Kemi but suggests in his comments the Tory party hasn't changed as required + Reform are the only party to implement needed change. It seems Farage has sold him on the idea that Reform is the only credible right wing party over multiple conversations (2)

however they also believe the Reform party is being damaged by the amount of Tory defections and due to Jenricks high profile in the Tory party, both Reform supporters and others are becoming more convinced that the party is becoming Tory 2.0.

The opinions - leaders of other parties have made comments re this and all I have seen have been negative. Both the left and right seem to be in agreement based on political coverage and social media comments. The Tories continue to be damaged by the rise of Reform... (3)

Farage has indicated conversations have happened with Jenrick but hasn't confirmed that he will be defecting to Reform. There is a Reform press conference at 16:30 today where further questions re this can be anticipated to be asked to party officials. (2)
