probably too smart by half, but i gotta imagine a huge part of the appeal to "irony-poisoned nihilism" as a politics is that it's so deeply un-processable by the big media machine. the cable-news gears suddenly start grinding to a halt whenever it turns out a shooter is some weird discord freak
