I bought a cheap 10m/32.8ft USB-C optical fiber cable and discovered that USB 3.x still relies on the legacy USB 2.0 D+/D– lines for device enumeration and control. USB hubs won’t work with it because this cable omits those lines.🔥

PC Magazine: mid-1990s no software will be written without the help of a CASE tool. 😅

"We won't need programmers anymore." Sound familiar?

1990s: CASE tools promised to automate coding.
2020s: GenAI is doing the same.

But programming isn’t just typing code. It’s about understanding problems, designing systems, and thinking critically. How can GenAI make us better programmers?

My latest research with 256 Brazilian Instagram users reveals a key gap: 94% say AIGC is easy to consume (avg 4.03/5). But trust lags behind (avg 3.29/5).

Marketers, take note:
• Be transparent about AI.
• Add human validation.
• Focus on building trust.

AI’s challenge isn’t if. It’s credibility.

In 1972, Dijkstra argued that software could be nearly bug-free with simplicity, discipline, and formal reasoning.

Fifty years later, we’re still trading soundness for speed.

Are we building systems we understand, or just software that works for now?

Trust is “the willingness of a party to be vulnerable to the actions of another party based on the expectation that the other will perform a particular action important to the trustor, irrespective of the ability to monitor or control that other party.” doi.org/10.2307/258792
