Also one time I managed to wallrun up to the top of the mountain in Not Rail Canyon and even though it was definitely objectively slower it was so funny I just had to walk across the entire level like that just because I could.

It’s incredibly impressive how much of each level you can actually access. It really hits such a great balance for me, where my desire to explore the level and my desire to finish it as fast as I can aren’t competing with each other but occupying totally different spaces.

The moment I saw it in Spark 3, I realized how crazy it is there’s never been an airport level in a Sonic game.

YEAH I was so sad about that too! I’m not sure if you know, but Princess of Sylph has actually been continuing under self-publishing, and the original fan translator for the manga version has been posting translations of newer chapters as plaintext to encourage subscribing to the author’s fanbox.
