Last week, I had the privilege of attending the NDiSTEM conference for the first time in Columbus, Ohio, along with faculty advisors and members of the UH SACNAS chapter. Before attending, I had no real expectations for what I would get out of this event or for its impact on my academic career.

Yesterday we were so fortunate to be present at the @hmns.bsky.social 3rd annual Indigenous Culture celebration! To celebrate, we emphasized that indigenous people were scientists since time immemorial. 🔥 thank you also to Roni Cabrera-Moreno for allowing us to display her beautiful artwork!

Happy Pride Month!🌈This month SACNAS would like to celebrate LGBTQ+ representation in STEM. Pride is celebrated in June to commemorate the Stonewall Riots and the LGBTQ+ Rights Movement. SACNAS values providing an inclusive community for students of all backgrounds.

Members had a blast working with the UH Physics department and the Texas Center for Superconductivity at the Cougar Summer STEM camp! They conducted various physics demos for middle schoolers and advocated for those interested in learning about STEM.
