i’ve been sitting with the idea that life doesn’t collapse to punish you. sometimes it breaks just enough for you to finally see what needs to be rebuilt. that space between who you were & who you’re becoming feels like a reset, but not the kind that wipes you clean. it’s the kind that reveals you.

i try to be intentional about that. i hug most people i know outside of  associate but only when that boundary is understood. the kind of hug always depends on the connection.
People don’t hug enough. There was a study that said we need 7 hugs a day. There’s folks that go days without 1 and we wonder why everyone is losing their mind. We need more affection and kindness

i’ve learned that in partnership, if you’re not willing to inconvenience yourself at times for the lifeline of the relationship, you’re not ready to be immersed in love but only in the illusion of what you think love should be for your own comfort.
