Like there’s no good time to start a fest or schedule reveals right now because there are like five other fests also doing reveals on any given month. Fics are bound to get overlooked across the table as they are. Which imo the best thing about fests is discovering new writers but now it doesn’t

I love fests too. I do agree about the longevity issues though because I’m modding my third season of Jihope fest and it’s been the worst one yet as far as participation goes… and I think there are multiple factors there but one is definitely the over-saturation of fests.
