I did not remember that Peoria City was also in the final last year and didn’t make the Open Cup. I appreciate your time and thank you for the explanations.

I understand that I just think it’s weird to leave a semi-finalist or finalist out of the tournament since they technically won there region, but I guess there is only 9 spots available for USL2 teams so I guess there is nothing they could theoretically do.

Do you know why Ballard FC didn't qualify after making the USL League 2 Final? It just confusing to me how Semi-Finalist like Dothan United and Ballard FC who are regional winners along with Vermont Green and Flint City Bucks don't get in as well.

This is where the Hailstorm played a few games in their inaugural year correct?

Having been at the game that number feels low. But what an atmosphere.

However, looking at the Combined Statistical Area then that is a population of about 1,500,000 in the Greenville-Spartanburg-Anderson, SC region.
February 14, 2025 at 2:49 AM
Thank You, Greenville was the one I missed when I was looking at metro populations with the others having MLS teams. They are at 975,000 in 2023 but that is 50,000 more than in 2020 census. Which means they are over 1 million probably by now.
February 14, 2025 at 2:43 AM
That’s true I was just talking about the markets that didn’t have higher level pro teams in their markets based on the question of if they had to compete with in those MLS markets. For USLC that would be Miami FC and Loudon, what are the 4 markets I’m missing in USL League 1 besides Richmond?
February 14, 2025 at 1:20 AM
Correction 16 USLC and 1 USL1 metro market. Forgot to correct my table that North Carolina FC is in USLC.
February 13, 2025 at 3:42 PM
There are 69 based on the 2020 US Census
February 13, 2025 at 3:38 PM
Correct there are currently 15 USLC and 2 USL1 metro markets that are above the 1,000,000+ metro population that are also the highest pro team in those markets.
February 13, 2025 at 3:36 PM
I believe they didn't play in USL 2 in 2024 and instead played in the UPSL to my knowledge.

Feel that right now with our Aussie Mollie.

It’s 100% Portland in a long sleeve but if they made those embossed stripes on the city kit blue they may have gotten me.

Return of the Bugeaters?
January 3, 2025 at 11:12 PM
No games in the Southeast United States as well.

Dang another year to wait for y’all to come to Atlanta. Roadtrip it is then.
December 19, 2024 at 7:15 PM
The new map would focus on travel times instead and dividing the regions within the USASA regions based off the suggestion by Zach Fisher. So I ask the question what is the furthest a semi-pro/amateur should drive for a game? I was thinking 4.5-5 hours but I wanted to see your thoughts.

I will also never forget that this was their first logo ever.
