We're starting to label up our devices to remind people to switch off when not in use. Hopefully this will help to save energy and unnecessary costs. So whether it's chargers, monitors or meatballs (see yesterday's post), if you're not using it, switch it off! #sustainability

The theme this year is "Do you see me?"
"Do you see me?" is about making sure people with a learning disability are seen, heard, included and valued in all aspects of life.

Our annual user survey has gone live! There will be 6 prizes available through a prize draw. All users of the library will be eligible to complete the survey. This is your chance to tell us how we could improve (and what you don't want us to change).

Our Medical Museum Curator, Beth Rawson, attended the unveiling ceremony with some of our museum artefacts, including the hand from the Florence Nightingale statue on London Road, and the ceremonial hammer used by Queen Victoria to lay the foundation stone of the Derbyshire Royal Infirmary.

Last Friday, blue plaques for Florence Nightingale and William Ogle were unveiled at The Pepperpot in the Nightingale Quarter in Derby, the former site of the Derbyshire Royal Infirmary.

We don't know who comes up with these events, but we approve of this one - in hindsight, we probably should've cooked our offering for National Sausage Day 🌭
