Workers in the area of Huron CA are harvesting pomegranates. "Sita" shares, "We have to climb up and down ladders all day. At this time of year it can get dangerous as the dew makes the ladder slippery. This can cause accidents if we are not careful." #WeFeedYou

"Raúl" was picking oranges in Visalia CA. "We fill 5 bins in a 6 hours and get paid $24 per bin. This work is hard on our bodies as we need to go up and down a 16 foot ladder while carrying 60 -80 lbs of oranges. But it's year round work that feeds our families." #WeFeedYou

12/16/65 - @uaw.org Pres. Walter Reuther is 1st national figure to visit Delano 3 months into grape walkouts, bringing much needed support to the strikers. Reuther carried a “Huelga” sign & marched through Delano besides Cesar Chavez & Larry Itliong, defying a city ban on such demos.

These Ventura County farm workers are part of a weeding crew. The leek fields have just been planted and workers are hoeing to remove weeds. This is critical as leeks grow slowly at the start and cannot compete with fast-growing weeds for light, water, and nutrients. #WeFeedYou
