Sorry to be that person (reporters are often that person) but @nytimes.com is reporting the suspect who shot the CEO of UnitedHealth stayed at a hostel, which often explicitly prohibit local residents from booking rooms.

(And yes this specific hostel too)

The Supreme Court agreed to review the Fifth Circuit's declaration that a FCC subsidy, the Universal Service Fund, is unconstitutionally funded. There's no guarantee Trump's solicitor general will defend the statute as Biden's has.

In a different life I wrote about it was impossible for Republicans to get so close in the 2022 gubernatorial election without getting significant numbers of Democrats to switch sides.

That is still happening, with Trump cutting into Democratic margins in NYC
