Am I the only one thinking this hand sign is potentially problematic?

building the bicycle up in Berlin, traveling to Italy by train, joining a friend I met while cycling to Istanbul last year, cycling to the ocean on my own, accidentally meeting kind people at Venice and spontaneously returning to Berlin with them.

Stay tuned, take it slow, and be part of team 161 🚩

With the help of a friend who loves pottering around too, I managed to assemble it in a diy workshop and went on my first little bikepacking trip immediately. There wasn‘t even time for a proper test run (which I wouldn‘t recommend, but I didn’t have a choice/enough time).

Luckily, when I arrived at the Venetian campside I saw three people at my age packing their tent and stuff into a van. Following their licence plate they were from Berlin. And guess what? They had a bicycle rack and some space left in the car for me. Also, they were super friendly <3

This worked perfectly fine in 🇫🇷, German, and 🇮🇹 trains in the past.

Shortly before leaving I realized that in Austrian long-distance trains solely folding bicycles count as hand luggage, though.

Vito and Umberto both fought and died for a society free of fascism. We cannot prevent from happening again what we do not remember. So let’s remember Vito and Umberto.

On my way from Cervia to Ravenna in the midst of the pine forest of Classe (described in the Divine Comedy by Dante who lived in Ravenna) I stumbled upon a memorial for two young antifascist partisans.
