Anyone interested into going further down the Kubernetes Rabbit Hole? 🙂

If you know how to write Kubernetes Controllers and agree with me on golang being awesome please ping me. We have some open positions at Kubermatic 'cause customers seem to like us. 🙂

today I solved the AGI problem via changing one parameter only
(the right side of the equation)

finally a promising usecase for monetisation to pay the bills. 🙂

AI will be able to automate the "boring" stuff "soon"

=> this is BS, due to
1. If something is boring is highly subjective
2. People tend to find stuff, they do not understand, boring.

So we will automate stuff we do not understand? Really?

IMO there are better indicators of automatability

There are so many wise words in this talk I better do not start mentioning them here. Just watch on you own. Thx @kelseyhightower.com for sharing your thoughts and thx
@kubermatic.bsky.social & @containerdays.bsky.social for spreading the word.

I just watched a video about a new AI model and the person was disappointed it couldn't create a Minecraft clone in a single shot prompt

Maybe we need to reset some expectations

I do not get the idea of AI browsers. UIs are created for humans, abstracting away tech things. Trying to teach those UIs to AIs sounds strange to me.

But maybe the motivation is getting all the user data for showing you ads because sooner or later someone has to pay the bill for the datacenters.

I had some problems with my wrist so I bought an ergo keyboard. What a game changer.

Currently in the learning phase, but it gets better day by day.

Dygma Defy is my weapon of choice. Great product and if you are located in Europe it is without import tariffs 'cause they are from Spain.

can we start a separate internet - only from and for human beings? the old internet seems to be broken. 😂

is the decrease in quality of big tech sites (running rock solid in the past) part of this thing called AI revolution? 🤭
September 9, 2025 at 7:15 AM
So, now we are in the era of OSS projects getting PRs which have to be checked if they are vibe-coded AI slop 😂

2 observations from my side:
- techies, knowing the details, have concerns
- people, not caring about tech&quality, have different motivations 🙂

Apple Containers? Not sure how I feel about that.

First of all, these are no Apple Containers, these are Linux Containers running in a lightweight Linux VM. 🤔

But, finally, some container support on MacOS. Hopefully Apple does not sell it like they invented Containers.

Is this right?

k8s readiness probes: excludes pods from loadbalancing depending on the application logic in the readiness endpoint

istio outlier detection: excludes pods from loadbalancing depending on envoys config

Does it make sense to use both at all?

Got to see some Golang Code today, which is basically doing what is written on my slippers in Java.

Before someone is asking, of course, I run my slippers in production. 🙂

It is interesting to see that no coding language prevents you from doing stupid things.

The DevOps idea did not work out for some companies, mostly due to organizational boundaries. Giving more responsibility to devs will enable them, but will perhaps not make them faster.

One way to address this is via providing an IDP.
