I had my open heart surgery to remove 4 sets of infected pacer leads, repair my tricuspid valve and close a PFO, they told my husband 4-6 hours. It was 12. Had a hard time getting me on bypass and more complicated than they thought (Duke). Imagine if insurance refused to pay anesthesia.
