Hurricane Melissa is headed towards the Caribbean islands of Jamaica and Cuba after undergoing extreme rapid intensification over the weekend to reach peak intensity and Category 5 status.

Puerto Rico y las Islas Vírgenes sufrieron una brutal #TemporadaDePeligros en 2024, con casi 60 alertas de calor en muchas áreas de estas islas. Unas 92.087 unidades de vivienda asequible (87,5% en Puerto Rico y el 100 porciento en las IV),estuvo bajo alerta de calor por lo menos siete veces.
